Three-Vehicle Accident Leaves People with Injuries in Detroit

On Tuesday morning of last week, police say that a man from Detroit Lake and an infant from White Earth were among the victims who suffered injuries during a three vehicle car accident on Highway 59 South.

Police report that the accident took place at 9 AM when a 1994 Ford Escort suddenly stopped to make a left turn onto County Road 22. The car was then rear-ended by a 1993 Buick Park Avenue, which was then hit from behind by a 1994 Chevy pickup truck that had been pushed into the first car.

Three people inside of the Park Avenue had to be transported to St. Mary's Essentia hospital in Detroit Lakes to receive treatment for injuries. New sources say their injuries were not documented or were listed as being non-life-threatening in nature.

The driver of the first vehicle, 35-year-old Anthony R. Goulet, did not suffer any injuries. However, 41-year-old Christopher D. Wacker was injured while operating the third car.
