DUI Crashes Down In 2011

The Michigan State Police 2011 Drunk Driving Audit is our and it shows the number of DUI-related crashes were down significantly in 2011. www.michigan.gov/drunkdrivingaudit The number of alcohol and/or drug related injures fell from 6,175 in 2010 to 6,086 in 2011 while the number of deaths decreased by 10.6% from 357 to 319. It is being reported that prior to the decrease in 2011, drug related traffic deaths had increased by nearly 30% in the past.
