Two Men Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Michigan

In the city of Marion, two residents were placed under arrest for drug crimes on Tuesday afternoon. The arrests occurred after the MARMET Drug Task Force searched a local home.

44-year-old David Johnson and 38-year-old Robert Johnson were both charged with drug trafficking and possession of heroin after investigators located 9.4 grams of the narcotic as well as $1,100 in cash inside of the home.

Police say that neither of the men have a prior criminal record and that the search took place at 3:00 PM while the suspects were inside of the residence. They also revealed that the heroine seized during the search had an estimated street value of $1,500.

Prior to the investigation, residents from the area sent tips to MARMET about possible criminal activity inside the home.
