Girl Injured In Truck-Train Crash

On Sunday, a 12-year-old girl and her brother were passengers in a truck being driven by their 40-year-old uncle when they came upon a railroad crossing. A train was coming and the safety gates were down. Police are indicating that the uncle stopped at the crossing arms but then decided to drive around them and try to outrun the train. The train hit the truck, ejecting the 12-year-old from the truck. Her exact injuries are unknown.
