Dog Owners Charged In Pit Bull Attacks

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced that 3 pit bull owners are being charged with felonies for failing to control a dangerous animal that caused serious injury.The charges arise out of 3 separate attacks by 4 pit bulls, one in Westland and two in Dearborn Heights , within the last 2 months.The 39-year-old victim of the Westland attack reportedly suffered wounds requiring more than 50 sutures.The first attack in Dearborn Heights resulted in face, jaw and arm wounds for the 51-year-old victim.In the last Dearborn Heights attack, both a 10-year-old girl and her 75-year-old rescuer suffered bites requiring 14-15 stitches each.
