Man Considered a Great Risk to His Community

After encountering the former medical resident in Clinton Township a judge called David Tyler Montaldi one of the "greatest risks to the community" he has ever met.

Examining the case of Montaldi Clinton Township District Judge Sebastien Lucido called his actions "rough." He has been charged with one count of first-degree child abuse and two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct based on allegations that he sexual assaulted and beat his girlfriend's 13-month-old daughter last year.

Back in December Montaldi told the authorities that his 200-pound English Mastiff had sat down on the child.

Judge Lucido was not fooled by this weak explanation, saying "You don't need to be an expert to know that the injuries are not consistent with a dog sitting on anybody...it's almost absurd." After hearing the testimony he ordered Montaldi to be jailed without bond.

Montaldi's attorney, Michael L. Steinberg, now hopes to give an alternative scenario to the court for review.
