3 years ago the unthinkable occurred. Setita Patrick fell asleep while driving at a high rate of speed on the Ohio Turnpike when she sideswiped a car and crashed. Her 10-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son were killed in the crash. Her 5-month-old son was injured.
On Tuesday Ms. Patrick pleaded guilty in Elyria, Ohio to aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, speeding as well as other unreported charges. The woman's attorney has stated that Ms. Patrick fell asleep out of exhaustion from working multiple jobs. It is also being reported that Ms. Patrick's license had been suspended repeatedly and she should not have been driving.
