Pit Bull Bites Off Piece Of Boy's Ear

A 9-month-old pit bull terrier reportedly attacked an 11-year-old boy biting off a piece of his ear. It was the family's dog according to Kalamazoo police. The boy was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital after the attack where the doctors were able to re-attach the piece of ear. Officers from the Kalamazoo County Animal Services and Enforcement took possession of the dog. Further details are unknown.

Being the victim of a dog bite or any type of animal attack is not only frightening, but it leaves a victim at risk of facing permanent scarring or disfigurement. Depending upon the size of the dog and the size, weight and strength of the victim, a dog can cause serious injuries or even death. Unfortunately, almost half of all dog bite victims are children. Because of their small stature, children are more likely to sustain injury to the face, head or neck. Treatment for any dog bite injury may be very expensive. This is one of the main reasons it is so crucial to talk to a lawyer about your case and recovering compensation.
